About Me

I am a thirty-something (when did I get that old?!?) sister, daughter, and friend. I became a widow on September 6, 2009, at the age of 28.  I am employed at a postsecondary educational institution. I also create quilts and shoot photographs. I just happen to be lucky enough to get paid for doing both.

hey girl, just wanted to stop by and say hello. I looked at the quilts that you have made. Nice job, all except for the Nebraska one. It needs to be purple and say K-State on it! Hope all is well in life for you. Keep in touch

I happened upon your blog. I have always considered myself a “Jill of All Trades” and decided to do a Google search on the term to see if I could somehow pull it into my next “phase” of life. Come to find out that almost every version of it on a web page is accounted for 😉 anyways, I was drawn to you posts and proceeded to read many of them. The day to day sure can be hard at times. I truly hope that the tide has turned a bit for you and that on the scale of good to bad days, you are being blessed with more of the good. thank you for being “real” for anyone to see. With the popularity of Facebook etc, it’s easy for people to constantly share things that in the grand scheme, just aren’t all that important. Your openness is a breath of fresh air.
